Welcome to the Rock, Fossil, and Dinosaur Shop where you can have a full day of family fun:

• Pan for gemstones
• Go on a mine adventure
• Dig for fossils
• See the dinosaurs

Digger the Dinosaur has been working hard in the gem mine.  Are you ready to help Digger find the hidden gems?  Get a bag of mining rough and pan for gemstones in the old-fashioned Mining Sluice.  Digger does the hard work.  All you have to do is put your mining rough in a screen and let the sluice water reveal your gems!  Best of all, you keep everything you find!

Next up is the Mining Adventure!  Grab a hard hat, turn on your light, and enter the mine.  Digger leaves behind many gems and fossils when working the mine.  He takes out the big stuff, but often misses many great gem stones and fossils.  Explore the mine and you will find these hidden treasures!  Just like the gemstone panning, whatever you find in the mine is yours to keep.

We’re not done yet.  There are more activities and fun to round out your day.  Behind our Gift Shop is the dinosaur exhibit. Head out back and see the dinosaurs.  Bring a camera and take your photo next to one of the prehistoric giants.

If you love archeology, paleontology, or just digging in the dirt, then you’ll love our Paleontologist’s Bonanza Box, where you can dig for your own fossils.  The Bonanza Box is filled to the brim with sand.  Dig in the box to find hidden treasures and uncover a dinosaur fossil. 

After a full day of fun activities, be sure to check out the Rock and Fossil Gift Shop.  Gems, fossils, minerals, toys and more.  There is something for everyone at the gift shop.
