Gemstone Panning

Learn how to pan for gemstones in an old-fashioned mining sluice.  During this interactive activity you will work your own bag of mining rough and find actual gemstones.

The Mine Adventure

This exciting activity for young kids takes you into a dark mine in search of gems and fossils.  How dark?  Dark enough that you must wear a miners cap and make sure the light is on!  Explore the mine and find the hidden treasure.

The Mine Adventure    $7      Adults can accompany their children in the mine for free.

The Paleontologist’s Bonanza Box

Uncover fossils in the Paleontologist’s Bonanza Box.  During this interactive adventure you will be digging for buried treasure.  Fun for the whole family and a great way to spend the afternoon.

The Dinosaur Exhibit    FREE

The Dinosaur exhibit is free and open to the public.  We encourage everyone to come and see these life-size realistic dinosaurs.  There are over 25 dinosaurs on exhibit at the Rock, Fossil, and Dinosaur Shop.  Come down and learn about these fascinating creatures that roamed the earth millions of years ago.

Birthday Parties

We book birthday parties for groups of 8 or more, so if you are looking to create a memorable party experience for your child, contact the Rock, Fossil and Dinosaur Shop. 

The Birthday Package costs $18 per child and includes:

Access to all 4 activities at the shop.

    The Gemstone Panning Adventure
    The Mine Adventure
    The Bonanza Box
    The Dinosaur Exhibit

Each party member will get a goodie bag.
Party guests will receive a gemstone bag to work at our sluice.
The guest of honor will get a special panning bag!

We offer picnic tables, so bring cake, food and drinks.  We do everything else!

Parties Must be booked at least 1 week in advance and a 50% nonrefundable Deposit is required .

Special Rates for Groups

We have a special package for groups of 8 or more.  The type of group does not matter, church group, school group, scouting group, and youth groups are all welcome.  As long as you have 8 or more guest, you can take advantage of our special group package.

Bringing your group to the Rock, Fossil and Dinosaur Shop is a great idea. It's the perfect place explore and have fun at all of the interactive activities. 

Besides being lots of fun, this attraction is highly educational.  In a short time, kids can easily gain the ability to identify and catalogue over 200 different minerals, gems, fossils and shells. How about the dinosaurs? Participants can gain unique insight by standing next to these prehistoric creatures and experiencing their size and realistic looks.
